AttendWell privacy policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy covers the AttendWell organiser app for Mac and the AttendWell app for iPad.
Who is responsible
AttendWell is made by Dominik Lukeš. Questions about this policy: Open an issue on GitHub.
What the apps handle and where it lives
- On the organiser's computer: the workshops, the participant names and any email addresses you import, and each person's check-in status. These are files on your computer. Email addresses are not sent to the iPad.
- On the iPad: the names of the current workshop while the iPad is paired, check-ins waiting to be sent, and the credential that pairs it with the organiser's computer. The credential is kept in the iPad's Keychain on that device only.
No data goes to Dominik Lukeš or to any server he runs. The apps have no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.
What is sent where
- Between the iPad and the organiser's computer. When check-in starts, the organiser app opens a Cloudflare quick tunnel. The names list and the check-ins travel between the iPad and the computer through Cloudflare. You need no Cloudflare account, and AttendWell does not ask for one.
- Update notices. Once a day the organiser app requests an update notice from techczech.github.io. The request carries no participant or workshop data. You can turn this off in Settings.
Camera
The iPad app uses the camera only to scan the pairing QR code shown in the organiser app. It stores no images.
What is not collected
AttendWell does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or usage data, and it shows no advertising.
Children
AttendWell is not made for children and has no accounts. The organiser chooses which names to enter.
Changes
